You will find many versions possible. You can work all of the bears in St st and also the background in Rev St st or the other way around. Increase the repeats across or lower for any bigger blanket (additional yarn is going to be needed). Or you might work St st bears around the diagonal and Rev St bears diagonally within the other way.
